Guest Services Supervisor

this position requires a minimum of 3 years of previous experience in hotel operations -preferably in the Front Office, and including supervisory responsibilities. A wide range and depth of experience is valued, along with problem-solving skill and a high level of initiative. The Manager on Duty is responsible for the overall operation of the hotel, regularly providing relief for Front Office and Concierge personnel, while representing senior management, providing on-the-spot authority, making special arrangements for hotel guests, taking immediate action on any complaints or failures, managing the application of credit policies and procedures, and taking charge during emergency situations. Well-honed hospitality and communication skills - verbal and written - are absolutely essential, accompanied by an ability to prioritize effectively and a proven resourcefulness when problem-solving. The successful candidate will have both skill and experience in leading and motivating an employee team, and be able to handle security, credit and emergency related situations with tact, diplomacy, hospitality, grace and impeccable professionalism. Must be available to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and holidays when required.
